If we see on the YouTube website we have 9+ notifications, can we know which are the new ones? Sometimes we scroll and not know, did we reach the end of the list, or are we seeing the old notifications already.
The expected behavior is what is similar to what happens on Facebook now: you scroll to one point and it says the upcoming one are old ones that you have seen.
If you click on your notifications, then yes.
Next to all the notifications on YouTube when you scroll down there is a blue dot to the left of the video if you haven't click on it yet. So if there are new notifications you can scroll down until you don't see videos with a blue dot. This only works if you click on your notifications.
Even if you just click the last one you see (so the notification on the top of the feed) when looking at notifications than the next time you come look at the notification you can use the video without a blue dot as some sort of landmark of old notification from there and below. It can be an extra couple of seconds when looking at notification using this method but it can be very useful if you don't usually look/click on all of your notifications in your YouTube notification feed.
