Netgear39 Removal

I’m using Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 32-bit. I had internet service going with a BrosTrend long range modem adapter, connecting to a Verizon Ellipsis Jetpack MHS900L. Things were going well, but now for some reason when I try to hook up to this Verizon modem it seems that I always get some interference from a Netgear39 interface. I’ve tried to figure out how to remove this Netgear deal, but am too much of a novice to know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
