I use the Kate text editor’s Symbol Viewer to have a handy list of functions in the file I am writing. However, due to forces beyond my control, I must deal with a B.F.F. (Big function). Is there a way I can add a commented line of text which acts as a jump point to a part of the BFF in the Symbol Viewer? Bookmarks are not what I’m looking for, since bookmarks are not preserved between sessions. Would I need to poke around the KSyntax to create this? Is there a standard way other text editors handle this? Is there an obvious search term I don’t know about where I could read more?
e.g. I want:
Symbols
small_function_1
small_function_2
b_f_f
bff_custom_point_1
bff_custom_point_2
small_function_3
