Writing Authors with their affiliations and E-mails

I have some questions about writing authors and their affiliations and E-mails…

I am using the article document class and authblk package,

Using thanks command is generating different symbols with authors names, is there any way to change these symbols to letters?
Also, is it possible to make the symbol/letter after the numbers indicating the affiliation?

If no, are there any other packages that can be used for writing authors names, affiliations, and Emails?
