Texlive installation fails in Ubuntu 20.4 on Rasberry Pi 400

TeX - LaTeX Asked by Sushant on May 11, 2021

I am using latex for my regular work, but I know very little technically.

I was trying to install texlive-full from iso image on my rasberry pi computer in Ubuntu 20.4, but it fails at last step.

  1. I have a new rasberry pi 400,with
    Processor : Broadcom BCM2711,quad-core 64-bit SoC (ARM Cortex-A72 @ @1.8GHz)
    RAM : 4 GB
  2. I have installed Ubuntu 20.04 from the iso image made available at Ubuntu website, for rasberry pi. I have used 64 GB Sondisk SD card.
  3. I have downloaded the texlive2021.iso file from texlive mirror.
  4. I followed the instructions given at https://www.tug.org/texlive/doc/texlive-en/texlive-en.html#x1-160003.1.1
  5. Everything happen smoothly and it took about 1 hour to complete the installation of packages. But at the end it showed the following message:

running mktexlsr /usr/local/texlive/2021/texmf-dist … Can’t exec
"mktexlsr": No such file or directory at tlpkg/TeXLive/TLUtils.pm line
610. ./install-tl: command failed (status -1): mktexlsr /usr/local/texlive/2021/texmf-dist: No such file or directory

I searched for what happened but found nothing that will help me.
Please guide about what can be done.
