Scientific article within report

I am writing my thesis in report style and would like to insert a scientific article I’ve written as a separate chapter. Is there any way I can use a template for only 1 chapter? I guess I cannot change the document class for a single chapter.

I could manually make the style myself using multicols, but the most important thing for me is that the references in this article are placed at the end of the chapter, and not at the end of the report where all the other references are. I don’t care about the font, figure/table/page numbering, those can be according to the main document.
