Many packages not found

Alot of packages are giving me an error along the lines of "packagename.sty" not found, for example the circuitikz, amsmatrix and pagecolor. Does anyone know what could be causing errors like this? I am using latexmk with the visual studio code "LaTeX Workshop" addon
