knitr: change the tidyverse italic font in Soutput environment comments?

TeX - LaTeX Asked by mk9y on April 9, 2021

In printing a tibble, for example, the output begins

begin{Soutput}
# A tibble: 30 x 2
   cond  rating
...
# … with 20 more rows
end{Output}

The output formatting is defined by

usepackage{listings}
lstdefinestyle{Routstyle}{%
  language = R,
  basicstyle = {Routcolorfootnotesizettfamily}
}
lstset{
  language = R,
  commentstyle = color{green}sffamily,
…
}

This has no effect on the color or the font of the italicized comment, which would be much nicer if it conformed to the comment style in lstset. Can this be done?

knitr v. 1.29;
R v. 4.0.2;
tidyverse v. 1.3.0
