Introduce "appendix title" in toc as a section in bold

TeX - LaTeX Asked on August 6, 2021

When you add an appendix for a chapter using subappendixes, e.g.:

include{My_chapter}
begin{subappendices}
    include{My_appendix_chapter}
end{subappendices}

You can see in the TOC that each section appears under the rest of the sections of that chapter following "Appendix Chapter_number.A. Section_name", but these sections appear just after the last section of your chapter such as: (without the bullet points)

1. this is the first chapter

  • 1.1 This is the first section
  • 1.2 This is the second section
  • Appendix A.1 This is the first section of appendix
  • Appendix A.2 This is the second section of appendix

Given this, I have a few questions.

  1. Is it possible to add the "Appendices" word, as when you introduce

    appendixpage

    noappendicestocpagenum

    addappheadtotoc

but this word to appear as the rest of the sections, but in bold in the TOC? Just as a way of separating the sections names from the chapter and the appendix in the TOC. The idea is not to have the Appendix as a new chapter.

  1. Can I also change the name "Appendix" or "Appendices" of this separation to the name I want? (Just for this case, there might appear other appendices in other chapters that I may want not to change that name)

  2. Can I remove the word "Appendix" from each section in the TOC?

  3. In the first page of the appendix, can I remove the name "Appendix" and let only the name that I want?

E.g.: (without the bullet points)

1. this is the first chapter

  • 1.1 This is the first section
  • 1.2 This is the second section
  • More information
  • A.1 This is the first section of appendix
  • A.2 This is the second section of appendix
