In Section{} command, Missing number, treated as zero Error occurred

I have a university template. When, I run the template I got following error.

<to be read again> 
                   }
l.8 ...General Instructions About Thesis Template}

Here General Instructions About Thesis Template is my section{General Instructions About Thesis Template} in the chapter, After removing the section heading General Instructions About Thesis Template, I got same error in other section heading. After removing all the section commands, the code works perfectly.

I cannot understand, when is the error and how to handle it?
