TeX - LaTeX Asked by Santiago Rivera on June 13, 2021
I have been following the steps outlined on the official page and some old answers from this forum, and I have not been able to get Vim-latex to work.
I installed Vim correctly, I unzipped the files in ~ vimfiles (although two of these folders are automatically generated, one in the users folder and one in the program files (x86) … is that a problem?), But when I edit the _vimrc as described in the vim-latex manual does not work.
In order to edit the _vimrc I had to do it with the command:
:e $HOME_vimrc
And then I saved the changes with:
:wqa!
I used the !
because the _vimrc was a read-only file and could not be edited.
I currently have TeXstudio installed, but have wanted to use Vim for a while. Any help you can give me? I am totally new to Vim and don’t know what I could be doing wrong.
In case I manage to get it to work, could you also tell me what else I should add in the _vimrc to get a proper Vim-latex?
