Super User Asked by skully on February 17, 2021
I have a problem with the waking up speed and sleeping speed of the computer. It takes 2 minutes to close the computer and about 10 seconds to open it. When it goes to sleep, the screen goes to black but the keyboard lights are still on. Only after two minutes did it close. When I open the computer back up, it doesn’t show the date, but rather directly takes me to the password entering place. Same thing happens when I shut down the computer and restart it. After I enter the password and log back in, if I had opened Google before, it only shows the logo of Google like this.
So I followed another guide on superuser, found here: How to find out what's causing a laptop to take too long to go to sleep?. It uses the command
xperf /tti -i standby_BASE+CSWITCH+DRIVERS+POWER_1.etl -o summary_stanby.xml -a suspend
But when I do it, it says that I do not have enough disk bandwidth.
The image of the problem can be found here:
I’ve tried following what the output says and increasing the min and max buffer size, but it still doesn’t work. Any other way I can fix this without using this command, or if not, how do I access the XML file?
This is very urgent, please reply. Thank you very much
