Using Preact over React

I’ve just migrated my app from React to Preact. And by migrated I mean I’ve restructured it with native routes and removed the word "react" almost from all my imports. I use only swiper/react, react-tilty and react-html-parser modules from "react world".

I did it because Preact promised that my build would be less size. But it’s not how it worked for me. React build is around 3.1 MB and Preact one is never less than 3.6 MB. Have I done something wrong?

Also, I’ve tried to remove some routes from the app, rebuild it but size has remained constant(3.6 MB). Why is that? I’m getting a lot of js and css chunks and maps – I believe about 100-110, and it’s good, but I wonder whether I did something wrong.
