Sugar syrup mould

I want to make a series of patterns, which form an image when viewed together, out of sugar. However, I don’t know what I could use to shape them as I’m not precise enough to do it freehand on baking paper and need some parts to be quite thin for the overall effect to work.

What materials could I use which would allow the sculptures to come away from it easily?
