I am looking for the name and description of some psychological process I’ve observed – having two steps assuming the implication of third. For example – when I sometimes think "A is better then B", it’s instantaneously followed by "there must be possibility of C that is better both from A and B". I do assume that process have a name, since it’s quite common phenomenon in thinking.
