Tau-equivalent reliability ($rho$$T$), also known as Cronbach’s alpha is a widely used measure of reliability in psychological testing. I’ve not encountered Cronbach’s alpha in other sectors. Does Cronbach’s alpha have use-cases outside of psychology?
