What's the influence of the number of supersymmetry?

In papers sometimes we could see like ${cal N}=1$ supersymmetry and ${cal N}=2$ supersymmetry. I’m wondering, for different ${cal N}$, how does ${cal N}$ influence the property of system, especially from the pheno side. Which ${cal N}$ is more closer to the real world
