A viscous fluid flows through a horizontal tube of varying cross-sectional area. Identify the option which correctly represents the variation of height of rise of liquid in each vertical tube. The options are:
Now I was thinking since height is same so as long as the cross-sectional area remains constant, the rise in tube should be same for areas with equal cross section so according to me the answer should be option (b), but book says answer is option (c).
Can anyone explain why? Does it has something to do with the viscous force resisting the flow?
