In the graph of x-ray intensity in coolidge tube, why is the intensity of the charactarestic emission higher than the continuous spectrum? Isn’t it less likely for electorns to eject inner shell electrons? So why is the intensity, and therefore the number of photons, higher when it’s supposed to be the other way around?
