How do I calculate the permeability of a magnet using the quantities on the datasheet?

Physics Asked by Philippe Fatouros on August 14, 2021

I need to get a value for the magnetic permeability (μ) of a Neodymium magnet of grade $52$. On the datasheet, I have values for Remanence, Br, in Teslas, and values for HCB and HCJ in both oersteds and $frac{kA}{m}$. I also have the parameter BHmax in $frac{ kJ}{m³}$ and typical MGOe. I want to find permeability in SI units. So , I’m not sure which units I should use.

I also understand that permeability is defined as B/H, so in my datasheet, I believe that would be Br (remanence) divided by either HCB or HCJ but I’m not sure which.

I can calculate a value for B factoring in the size of my magnet, but I do not think that I can calculate a value for H.
