Can a massive particle have zero charge without being made of electrons and protons?

Physics Asked on December 2, 2021

I know a neutron decays outside the nucleus into a proton and an electron and also that a neutrino has no charge but is there a particle that simply has no charge?

One Answer

Yes, an example of an elementary particle with mass but without electric charge is the Z boson or the Higgs boson.
