I was wondering about the relationship between the amount of water in the air, and the percentage.
Is the following correct?
Let’s take an example of 20⁰C. According to this page air at that temperature can hold 17.3 10-3 kg/m3 water. So if there’s a room with 20 m3 and the temperature is 20⁰C and I see on a hygrometer that the percent of humidity is 70%, and I then turn on a dehumidifier and wait till it goes down to 60%, I’m supposed to find 34.6 grams of water in the dehumidifier’s tray. (since that’s 20 x 10% of 17.3)
Is that correct, or did I misunderstand the numbers?
(I purposely made a detailed example to see if I really got it right.)
