Working remotely from New Jersey for a university that is located in Michigan

If understand correctly the New Jersey is considered non-reciprocal for Michigan. Would I have to pay taxes to both states? How much money would be the difference if instead I live in Michigan and work in Michigan? Is the submission of the taxes complicated? Do I need extra material when filing the taxes?
