Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Asked by David berry on June 16, 2021
What would cause my Volvo s60 not start after replacing the ignition switch and key everything else is turning on but not cranking the engine it keeps saying start prevented try again in the information section
The key has a identification chip inside that needs to be matched with the car. Since you replaced the key it is not matched and your cars immobilizer is activated. What year is this? I can give you an idea of what needs to be done for key programming.
