My motorcycle is kind of bogging down

Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Asked by BundyTrent on February 19, 2021

So my Vstar 650 (1998) is having an interesting issue. I was riding to work, having a fun time and decided to rev it up for about 3 seconds down a straight road. All was good for about 10 more seconds until I reached a stop and it started to sound like a QUAD (Take a Yamaha warrior as reference). It felt jittery and shaky, as if I was in 3rd gear going 10mph. Since that day (two weeks ago), I’ve changed the sparks and ran some system fuel cleaner. It sounds way better, but once you actually ride it, that problem persist and and shows no improvement. Letting it run warm seems to help. A friend mechanic said maybe the baffles were gummed up, because apparently one exhaust has better airflow than the other.

If there’s a way to send a video, I will.
