Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Asked by topdawg_coder on January 27, 2021
Toyota tacoma 1997 4 cyclinder 2.7L
I was working on adjusting the TPS on my car since the idle was high. In order for me to adjust the TPS I had to remove the intake tubing and any hose connected to it. I also had to remove the throttle body. I had to remove all of this since the screw was stripped on the tps.
I adjusted the TPS and put everything back. Now when I start the engine and press on the gas the car stalls.
When pressing on the gas it only revs for a bit and if you step more on the gas pedal there is no rev sound and the car shakes and then stalls. Also, If I don’t step on the gas and just turn the AC to on, the car stalls as well.
Any idea what going on?
