Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Asked on June 15, 2021
A few months ago my car just randomly had a tire deflating while I was driving. I was only 2 miles from home and couldn’t stop in the middle of the road so kept going until I got home. I got out and apparently, my tire had popped along the way. I replaced the tire, but since then I’ve heard a rattling sound coming from the back of my car. The car itself also rattles in the back right (where the tire popped), but only on country roads, not usually on highways. I assume that is because the highways aren’t as uneven as country roads. I checked and all the tires are the same pressure. I did only replace one tire so the tread is less worn down on it than the others. I’m most worried about a gas smell. I can’t tell if it is coming from my car or the cars around me, but every few days I notice it. It normally goes away pretty quickly, so I may just be paranoid. Any suggestions? Thanks!
