WolframKernelException: Failed to communicate with kernel

I am an absolute beginner of Mathematica!! ..

I have downloaded, installed and activated the wolfram engine (12.1) on Windows. I have installed the WolframClient and kernal location is in kernelLoc = ‘C:Program FilesWolfram ResearchWolfram Engine12.0WolframKernel.exe’

When ran the below code in Jupyter notebook

session.evaluate([wl.Pi, wl.E])

i got the below error. I tried reinstalling Wolfram engine(developer which is free) but not was not helpful. Also installed Visual Studio 2017 but no avail.

WolframKernelException: Failed to communicate with kernel: C:/Program Files/Wolfram Research/Wolfram Engine/12.1/WolframKernel.exe.

I searched the forum for similar issue but couldn’t find/relate my issue with existing ones.
