Home Improvement Asked on August 18, 2021
I recently installed a new faucet in one of my bathrooms, but now I’m having trouble with the hot water part of the faucet. If I turn it on too quickly, the faucet makes a loud groaning noise and no water comes out. If I turn it on slowly, or slowly change the faucet from cold to hot, it doesn’t make the noise and water comes out as expected.
I’ve tried to do some googling and found ‘water hammering’ but that seems to be what happens when shutting off the water, not turning it on.
Any ideas how to fix this?
