Does number on the bottom of a shower faucet cartridge describe compatibility?

If I can find a replacement shower faucet cartridge that matches the Kerox PB40R model number and matches in appearance, would it be a safe fit?

The bottom of the cartridge that I need to replace has two chambers each marked with a "7".

The replacements I’m finding online have a different numbers on them, in this case "4" and I’m not sure if the 7 vs 4 is important
