Using Geopackage JS and Openlayers in Angular

I need to prepare a web app which is going to load a geopackage file and show the layers in OpenLayers.
First of all I was checking the current libs and also some demo information and found a minimal viewer for OpenLayers and GeopackageJS at the next URL:

I did follow the instructions, cloning the project, installing the devs and executing via:

npm start

It seems to work until trying to open a geopackage file, which shows the next error in the console:

It’s something realted the global geoPackage object, I was trying to get more insight in the JavaScript library looking at the code, but spending the hole day without result.

How can I make it work before trying to implementate something similar with Angular?
