Raster Mosaic Not Showing Up in Correct Location?

Geographic Information Systems Asked on January 2, 2021

I am trying to make a Raster Mosaic from some drone imagery I have, but it is showing up a long ways away from where it should be and they are all sitting on top of one another. I used the create mosaic dataset tool and Add Rasters to mosaic dataset tool. My best guess is that I put in the wrong raster type. I am not sure how to find the correct raster type I looked though the metadata on the images and could not find a raster type, but there is GPS data. I am running ARCGIS Desktop 10.6.

You need to use the 'mosaic to raster' tool for what you're doing. This merges the rasters into a new rasterset. With the 'mosaic' tool you're merging into an existing rasterset which needs to be created first with 'Create Raster Dataset (Data Management)'.
