QGIS QT Designer DPI/Scalability issues

I have a QHD monitor and it’s been giving me all sorts of problems when I build my custom plugins in QGIS3. I’ve built my plugins using the plugin builder and designed the UI with QT Designer for QGIS – but on monitors at certain resolutions the texts get bunched up and nothing I do in the QT Designer interface fixes it. Is this potentially a problem on the QGIS-side or solvable in QT?
