Opened image appears corrupted

I have a hyperspectral image that I am fusing with a multispectral image (of the same scene) on Matlab. I also have a reference image of the final result in order to be able to compare and evaluate the result of the fusion. After obtaining the fusion result, I try to open it on ENVI 5.5 (64-bit) using the .hdr file from the reference image (since they have the same samples, lines, interleave method, etc). But the image appears corrupted (as seen in the screenshot). The reference image opens just fine without any corruptions. What could the problem be?
