Invalid style group: No layer or layer group named 'Location' found in the catalog*

I have two exactly similar setups and I am trying to update my Asia layergroup with,
curl -v -u admin:geoserver -XPUT -d @Asia.xml -H "Content-type: text/xml" http://localhost:28080/geoserver/rest/workspaces/MapData/layergroups/Asia.xml.

In one setup the update gets done with no issues observed and I can see my modified Asia layergroup with new layers and their respective styles as defined in the Asia.xml.

But in the other setup I am getting "Invalid style group: No layer or layer group named ‘Location’ found in the catalog* Connection #0 to host localhost left intact" and the command does not update the layergroup as it does in the other setup.

There is no such layers or styles named Location in my setups and the same Asia.xml file is used in both setups.What could be the reason ?
