I want to match existing facilities with points of demand on the basis of individual capacity/demand and shortest distance. There is more capacity available than there is demand. The desired outcome would be to have ALL points of demand covered, I do not care how many facilities are chosen, I only need to know which ones supply which demand points.
I have tried location allocation maximise capacitated coverage, but that appears to minimise the number of facilities while never including all demand points. I’ve tried changing the FacilityType to ‘required’ or ‘chosen’ but the solver still rendered them ‘candidates’ in the process (despite close demand points not being served). For ‘facilities to find’ I used the total available number of facilities.
Am I doing something wrong or is this not possible, or is there a different tool to do this with?
I’m using ArcGIS Pro 2.5.2.
