What does "The technology that is currently in use and meets the specifications within your submission" mean?

English Language & Usage Asked by SonicSuper2 on January 28, 2021

I want to know the meaning of: The company I offered my invention to the company in my submission replied me that it has developed the technology that is currently in use and meets the specifications within my submission;hence I want to know the meaning of whether the company wants to do business with me or not in this regards.

One Answer

AHD defines submission as—

a. The act of submitting something for consideration.

b. Something so submitted:

In your sentence, sense b of the word has been used.

Thus, the part the technology that is currently in use and meets the specifications within your submission refers to the technology presently used and details or particulars within your submission (perhaps, your submitted report), which that technology meets or is required to meet.

Notice that it's not a complete sentence and could be part of a bigger sentence. One possible sentence might read— The technology that is currently in use and meets the specifications within your submission was the result of the painstaking efforts of a team of experts.
