What do we call a question which is expected not to be answered?

English Language & Usage Asked by Mislah on April 13, 2021

What do we call a question when the questioner expects the listener can’t answer it?

Example: Asking "who’s the mom of the President of Kiribati?"

Here the questioner already knows that the listener can’t answer it but they’re asking to show that the listener lacks knowledge.
