Numbered lists and punctuation

How should I punctuate numbered lists in British English? Are all the colons, semicolons and punctuations correct?

In the earlier submission:

1. We presented a new statistical methodology.
2. We showed major regional disparities.

The new submission additionally

(1) introduces the benefits of lognormal modelling;

(2) provides the code used in analyses.
