Is this usage of three dots okay to complete a sentence in video or carousel?

English Language & Usage Asked on May 12, 2021

I’m making a video in which I need a long sentence. But I don’t want to place it in same frame. I want half the sentence (even when both halves of the sentences meanings are not clear independently) to be read in 1st frame and remaining words in next frame. Frame 2 appears after few seconds.

So I’m thinking to put three dots in ending of 1st half and three dots in front of 2nd half just like this:

Frame 1) Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet…

Frame 2) …the reamining words of the sentence.

I’ve often seen some videos where a large sentence is broken in 2 or more frames. I don’t think users will be really confused by breaking the sentence in 2 frames. But I’m not sure using three dots is a good way or not.

You can also take an example of Instagram carousel post (where you upload multiple images instead of one). So let’s say a carousel of 2 images. Half sentence is on 1st image, remaining words on next image.
