English Language & Usage Asked on March 15, 2021

Well as the title says, is there a word for a person who talks before they think? And if it is, whats the word and what’s the antonym? I need to know this for to characters in a novel. Thank you in advance.

loose-tongued adj

careless or irresponsible in talking.

It seems 'tight-lipped' can be used as an antonym of 'loose-tongued'.

So this is a great question. The answer is you are looking for can only be determined by thencharacters in the book you are readingm you know them better then anyone else. They may think before they speak but the true question is. Howw they answer it. The word is up to you to desribe that for them. But in in general a person who thinks before they speak as we all know is considered smart.
