Is it wrong to make words by adding “-ful” to an existing noun?

English Language & Usage Asked on February 24, 2021

There arises many cases when we want to use the words like “helpful”, “deceitful” etc. So, I was thinking if I could make up a word by adding “-ful” as a suffix to it, that is convert a noun to adjective by adding “-ful” at the end? For example, if someone says something good and I replied like this :

“Those are very knowledge-ful words”

Is my formation of “knowledge-ful” from “knowledge” correct?
