Is "care" correctly classified as dynamic when it concerns providing care to someone?

English Language & Usage Asked on October 25, 2020

"Care" is typically classified as a stative verb (because it represents an emotional sense or feeling). However, most stative verbs are considering to be dynamic when their continuous form (-ing) is used (e.g. "I am caring for her".

However, when the context is explicitly expressed for providing care, as in "he cares for his grandmother", is this also appropriately classified as a dynamic usage since it implies an action?
