English Language & Usage Asked by user399209 on January 17, 2021
I generally see the word “irrigation” as an agricultural term in sentences like:
There are several lakes of great depth and streams well fitted for the purposes of irrigation, of which full advantage is taken by the natives.
Can I use it in a more casual way like I used in this sentence below?
Her plants died because of over irrigation.
