English Language & Usage Asked by yesl on August 23, 2021
Hi I was watching a movie and there’s one line I don’t get.
"It’s awful not to be able to do what it is that you want to do."
Why does it say ‘what it is that you want to do’ instead of ‘what you want to do’ ?
I want to know if there’s any difference in nuance between the two.
