commas in definitive phrases

English Language & Usage Asked on November 29, 2020

Should it be

" There are no consecutive elements in X in the clockwise order about v. " or

" There are no consecutive elements in X, in the clockwise order about v. "

Where in the clockwise order about v clarifies what consecutive means.

One Answer

There are no clockwise consecutive elements in X

I don't understand the relevance of "about v" here, so I don't know how or even whether to incorporate it (...centred about v, perhaps?).
