English Language & Usage Asked by user405356 on December 12, 2020
If I say ‘there is one,’ can it mean there are both one thing and a figure one? I mean, in this case, I don’t need to say ‘there is one’ twice? And is it true that a function word such as the and a usually has many meanings at one sentence?
