What would be another way to say something is “The new standard”? For example “We used to use blank1 but now we use blank2 which has become [phrase here in place of the new standard
]”
Definition of new standard
of which I refer is:”first in importance, order, or position; leading.”
If I've understood right, you're looking for a synonym which is just one word.
... which is now preferred.
... which has become standard.
The reason "standard" works is that "become" implies that it's the new standard.
