Alternative to very counterproductive

Recently I have been trying to eliminate the use of very in my sentences.

I have a scenario where I am using

Kindly confirm the final approach as this back and forth change in xxx is very counterproductive.

And I am trying to find a better alternative to **very** counterproductive in this scenario.

Any suggestions?
