A question regarding using "so far" in the beginning of a new section

English Language & Usage Asked on April 9, 2021

In one chapter of my thesis, there are 3 sections that are: section 1 talks about technique A, section 2 is about technique B, and section 3 discusses the correlation between technique A and B.

In the beginning of section 3, I want to write a sentence like

So far, we studied the influence of technique A and technique B on the
performance of XXX but it is important to discuss whether the two
techniques affect each other.

My question is does it make sense to start the section with so far? how about As of yet? In your opinion, do you think the way I started the section sounds good?
